Journal Honored with ICD Award
The International College of Dentists USA Section has selected the Pennsylvania Dental Journal for the Humanitarian Service Award in the ICD ’ s 2020 Journalism Awards . The PDJ was honored for our September / October 2019 issue , a special series of articles spotlighting the dental volunteerism of PDA members , both here at home in Pennsylvania , and around the world in places like Jamaica , Cambodia and Ukraine .
“ It was such a pleasure to learn the PDJ has been honored by the ICD for the second year in a row ,” said Journal editor Dr . Steve Radack . “ A huge thank you the PDA staff and to all members who shared their stories on volunteerism in the issue that got us recognized for the 2020 Humanitarian Award .”
In 2019 , the Journal received the ICD Journalism Awards ’ Special Citation Division I Award for our issue celebrating PDA ’ s 150 th Anniversary .
