Planning for future advocacy
This year , the pandemic waylaid PDA ’ s advocacy agenda as everyone concentrated on more pressing issues . In 2021 , we plan for PDA to return to aggressive advocacy to benefit our members and the patients you serve . One way to accomplish that is by creating legislative contact dentists .
If we have at least two PDA members commit to reaching out to a Pennsylvania legislator on PDA ’ s behalf we would be unstoppable in achieving our goals . If we can create two-person teams who develop personal relationships with their Pennsylvania representative and senator we can be one of the most accomplished advocacy organizations . Each team would , with PDA staff help , have regular contact with their legislators to keep them in the loop about organized dentistry and be a resource for them . The relationship would benefit everyone who is involved . This program has the potential to be a true game changer for organized dentistry . Please do your part to help your profession and patients .
