The 2019-20 legislative session has ended . Our upcoming Pennsylvania legislative session for 2021-22 begins in January . PDA and PADPAC will be building on what we accomplished in 2019-20 and moving your agenda to new heights in the next two years . In order to accomplish that , we need the proper tools .
Monetary contributions are one of the most important tools . We need to have the funds to be competitive against the insurance lobby . One of the best ways to add to our tool box is by contributing to PADPAC so we have the money to contribute to legislators who support us and educate those who don ’ t support us yet .
Please give generously . We fight against groups who want to reshape the legislative and regulatory landscape to harm you and your practice . They want to create legislation that has pitfalls for you , your patients and your practice . Contributing to PADPAC is the single best and most efficacious way to not just stop your adversaries , but win the fight . By winning legislative battles in Harrisburg we make your life and practice at home easier . Your contribution can make us even more effective .
If you have already contributed for 2021 – thank you ! We couldn ’ t do it without you . Our success is due to your efforts . Please contact your colleagues and encourage them to contribute . Remind them how your opponents will continue to participate in the political process . We have to do the same .
If you haven ’ t contributed yet , please do so . We need your help . Your adversaries are constantly working to ( mis ) shape the legislative and political agenda of our state .
In order to move your agenda through the General Assembly and the regulatory agencies we need to make contributions to support those who support us . It is a constant fight to overcome the power and reach of the insurance lobby . Due to state and federal laws , PDA categorizes PADPAC funds into two types . Hard dollars are contributions made via personal check or credit card . Only hard dollars may be used for political campaign contributions . In order to be effective PADPAC needs hard dollar contributions . Soft dollars are contributions made with a business check or credit card . Soft dollars may only be used for administrative purposes , such as assisting district or local dental societies with a fundraising event . Please contribute hard dollars as we need them to drive your agenda forward . By not contributing you make it more likely that the insurance lobby ’ s voice will be louder than ours .
You too can attend fundraisers and build your relationship with your senator and representative . Just ask and we ’ ll set you up with everything you need to have fun and be an effective advocate .
