We always like to celebrate good news. This past membership year we had two PDA members contribute at the President’s Club level. This has never happened before in the entire history of PDA. Thank you VERY much Immediate Past President Dr. Jim Boyle III and Dr. Joseph Graver! You both are truly an example of service before self and going the extra mile for your profession and your patients. The members of Fifth District are truly leading the pack in their help to your PAC. Dentists are invariably rated among the most ethical professionals. We need to showcase that hard won respect to tell your side of the story. Why are your issues important to the people of Pennsylvania and the General Assembly? You must remember that the righteousness of your cause does not compel others to take action on your behalf. You have to make the contact and do the work so they become aware of your issue, among the hundreds of others, and showcase why your issue is deserving of their support and action. PDA and PADPAC can help you tell your story and pass the laws we need to make dentistry more rewarding and less frustrating. Here are the club levels for 2020: President’s Club $2,500+ Liberty Club $1,000-$2,499 Capitol Club $500-$999 Keystone Club $150-$499 Century Club $120-$149 Dental Students $5 Please pay with your personal check or credit card because if you pay via a corporate card or check it limits PDA’s strategic flexibility. You don’t have to contribute all at once. You can contribute a smaller sum every month and at the end of the year you’ve made a truly significant contribution. It may be bumper sticker logic but it’s true-every little bit helps. Anything you can contribute makes a difference. You’ve devoted yourself to caring for others. Help us to care for you and your profession. We know that making personal contributions (hard dollars) is a sacrifice. We take that sacrifice very seriously by only spending your hard earned dollars where necessary. The truth is, we need hard dollars to win. In order to compete with the insurance lobbyists, one of the most formidable opponents in Pennsylvania politics, we need hard dollars to support those elected officials who believe in you and support you. If you don’t want to make a lump sum contribution you can make monthly contributions which may be easier or more convenient for you. If you choose the monthly contribution by the end of the year you will have made a significant contribution towards your PAC. $100 per month for 12 months is over $1,000. That’s only a little over $3.00 a day. $50 per month per month for 12 months is $600. That’s less than $2.00 a day. The day to day impact on you is pretty minimal but the end of the year contribution to the PAC is a major help in moving your agenda forward. That type of contribution makes a big difference in strengthening your PAC and allowing us to have greater access and more decisive input into the various campaigns we contribute towards. If you have any questions about making a contribution to PADPAC, please contact John Basial at jpb@padental.org or (800) 223-0016, ext. 108. You can also contribute online by visiting padental.org/padpac. Our adversaries never sleep. PADPAC needs the resources to defeat them. Contribute today and build a stronger PAC so we have more imPACt. PADPAC has come a long way this year and with your help we can continue to build a better, stronger organization that serves you and your profession. Thank you for ALL your help!
