New Members PDA Seeks to Serve on GR Committee The Government Relations Committee (GRC) prioritizes PDA’s legislative agenda and works with the lobbyist to achieve victories that benefit members and patients. The committee also responds to proposed dental-related regulations from the State Board of Dentistry and other state agencies. Are you interested in serving on the committee tasked with the vital role of promoting dentistry and oral health care in the legislative and regulatory arena? You can be part of: n Encouraging the improvement of the health of the citizens of Pennsylvania and promoting the art and science of dentistry through appropriate legislative or regulatory activities. n Reviewing legislative proposals, regulatory issues and government agency programs and recommending actions to the Board. n Assisting individual members, component societies and the PDA lobbyist with issues that concern dental law and regulation. Committee members must commit to: n Attend two meetings in Harrisburg annually. n Participate in any scheduled conference call of the GR. n Engage in and conduct business on the committee’s social network between meetings and calls. n Attend meetings or other events with legislators while in Harrisburg for regularly- scheduled committee meetings. n Maintaining working relationships with PADPAC, ADPAC and the State Board of Dentistry.
