Guidelines for Infection Control
in Dental Health Care Settings and
OSHA Compliance

This lecture is designed to assist dental
teams in meeting the requirement for an
annual update on infection control and
other safety regulations. The most up-to-
date information will be discussed on
infection control protocols, CDC guidelines,
vaccinations for health care workers, record
keeping and training requirements, and
other work related safety information.
Upon completion of the course, the
participant will:
• Know recent updates to the CDC
guidelines.
• Recognize key concepts in infection
prevention and control.
Mr. Slesinger, a member
of the Health Care
Compliance Association
(HCCA), serves as a Certified Healthcare
Compliance Consultant with MedSafe/Total
Compliance Solutions, Inc. In this capacity,
he has performed hundreds of on-site
inspections and staff trainings for dental and
health care facilities, veterinary hospitals and
funeral homes. His seminars and training
sessions include OSHA, Infection Control,
CDC Guidelines, Sterilization, HIPAA/HITECH,
Corporate Compliance, ADA, DEA and Risk
Management.
He received a Bachelor of Science in
Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh,
with a strong emphasis in Chemistry and
Biology. He also performed graduate work at
the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental
Medicine.
