Sky Rose (TB) Owner Troy Gallagher, Normanton, said he was “very happy” with the win in the finals, but the “heat was really the toughest” race for Chick Ching Cash at the meet. Mr Gallagher said high-calibre competition from Ala gator, Mazuka and Ala Sugar made for an exciting finish in the heats. “He [Chick Ching Cash] pipped Ala Sugar on the line by a short nose, ‘Ala Gator by a neck and that’s about all,” Mr Gallagher said. “There wasn’t much in it at all.” The six-race program, comprising of four heats and two finals, formed part of an action-packed weekend.
