Burpengary Camp Quarter Horse
By Terry McSweeney - President, Burpengary Western Performance Club
Once again, Burpengary Western Performance Club held its
Annual Camp Quarter Horse for 2015. We had riders from Lead
Line up to Advanced Youth riding all different breeds of horses.
The food for the kids (and parents) was catered for by the wonderful club members, who worked tirelessly to make sure that
no person went hungry.
At the start of the Camp there were a few very timid riders,
but by the close of our show on Sunday, there was no sign of
fear on any of the faces (even though we had to stop the show
for a severe thunder storm). The turnaround in confidence
was made possible by the expert tuition given by our Trainers,
who gave freely of their time. Thanks must go to Ken Davison,
Travis Humphries, Sue Franks, Pieta Palmer and Rosie Fyfe.
Thanks must go to our most valued sponsors for their support
AQHA, Dr. Show, TLC Hay and Chaff Supplies, Horsezone,
Kelato, Natrakelp and Rawhide Western Wear.

Award”. Thanks again, Joan.
At Camp’s end the Lead Liners were taken on a Trail Ride
through the grounds, some of them so confident that they did
not require leads.
