Start a New Tradition!
It ' s always nice to start new traditions around the holidays, especially if it ' s one that is meaningful and can model kindness and empathy. Start a " Blessing Bag "... an assortment of handy items that would benefit a person in need. Have your kids come up with a list of useful stuff, then gather the items and put them in a gift or plastic bag. Make as many as you want to and can afford. Keep them in the car in case you see someone who might need some help or donate them to a shelter or non-profit organization. Such a sweet idea, and a great example and activity for your kids to take part in!
