My school of choice is Boise State University because I love the outdoors, and they have a beautiful campus with great outdoor programs. I am currently undecided in a major and I have been thinking about communications. Of course I brought my tennis racket with me! I was excited about hitting with new people and I have found a couple, and even talked to the captain of the tennis club here at Boise.
My favorite memory from Charbonneau is hitting with my mom a long time ago before I was even playing tennis seriously. We always had a goal to keep the rally going as long as possible and would try and beat our score from the last session. What I miss most from home is being able to play videogames with my family and going on trips. I also miss our dog Penny and our three guinea pigs, Muffin, Maisy and Daisy, and seeing them run out from their cage to the kitchen table to beg for food.
Isabella Mendenhall, Wilsonville High School, Class of 2025
High school tennis taught me to be OK with failure / losing matches but to work harder to get to the point I want to be at. For graduation, I received many cords, including a dual languagé program medal. I’ m currently attending Oregon State University because of its BioHealth Sciences undergraduate degree, which will prepare me for a career in healthcare. I brought my tennis racket and I joined the tennis club. My best memory in Charbonneau was probably playing with my friend Lilly. What I miss from home is having a familiar routine and being with my friends and family.
If you know a local high school student who may be interested in joining Charbonneau, please have them reach out to Donna Roisom, dkroisom @ comcast. net. Junior memberships are $ 250 a year with a one-time initiation fee of $ 100. If they join now, we prorate the dues so the total would be $ 162, instead of $ 350. Also, each year we have a limited number of scholarships available for a Junior Membership thanks to our past friend and member, Julie Clark. If you would like to contribute to the scholarship fund, or know someone that may be interested in applying for one, please contact Lisa Wisthoff at Lwisthoff @ yahoo. com.
November is all about gratitude! We’ re thankful for our clients, our community, and the opportunities this year has brought. Help us wrap up the season strong— let’ s find buyers for these fall favorites!
