New Attorneys Sworn In with Encouragement from PBCBA President Jean Marie Middleton
Congratulations to all the newly sworn-in attorneys who participated in the New Attorney Induction Ceremony in October. PBCBA was honored to take part in this special occasion at the Fourth District Court of Appeal, where President Jean Marie Middleton inspired the new members of the Bar with words of encouragement. Among those sworn in was Karla Armstrong, a former participant in the PBCBA’ s Advancing Opportunities Internship Program( AOIP), reflecting the lasting impact of the initiative. PBCBA also extends its sincere appreciation to the Judges of the Fourth District Court of Appeal for their support and participation in welcoming the next generation of attorneys into our growing legal community.

Nominating Petitions Available for Board of Directors
Members seeking to run for a position on the Board of Directors will need to obtain a nominating petition and must be a member in good standing of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. The nominating petition must be signed by no fewer than 20 members in good standing of the Association. Petitions for President-Elect will be available on Friday, December 5 and are due back in the office by 5 p. m. on Wednesday, January 7. Petitions for Director-At-Large seats will be available on Friday, December 12 and are due back in the Bar office by 5 p. m. on Wednesday, January 14. Petitions may be obtained by calling the Bar office at 687- 2800 or by sending an e-mail requesting a petition to Carla Tharp Brown, Executive Director at ctbrown @ palmbeachbar. org. For any of the positions, it is the candidate ' s responsibility to verify that the members who sign their petitions are members in good standing. Otherwise, the petition will be deemed invalid. The annual election of officers and directors for the Palm Beach County Bar will take place via online voting in April if any of the seats are contested.
