Romano Law Group is proud to announce that Eric Romano and Nancy Romano were each honored with a prestigious award by the Florida Justice Association( FJA) during the Masters of Justice Award Luncheon at the Four Seasons Orlando on September 18, 2025. Eric Romano, Board-Certified Trial Attorney and Past President of the FJA, received the Al J. Cone Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors a career of leadership, examplesetting, devotion, and courage, reflecting the life and legacy of Al J. Cone. Eric is a seasoned trial lawyer with almost three decades of experience, a former prosecutor, and has tried more than 125 civil and criminal cases to verdict. He has served in leadership roles across multiple professional organizations, including as Past President of the FJA, and is admitted to practice before the U. S. Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and federal courts in Florida. Eric follows in the footsteps of his father, John Romano, founding partner of Romano Law Group and a past recipient of the same award, making them the only father – son pair to share this distinction. Nancy Romano was awarded the Joan Williams Award, which recognizes nonattorney individuals who have spent a lifetime demonstrating professionalism and perseverance in promoting and protecting the civil justice system. Nancy plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of Romano Law Group, attending every professional convention and ensuring a bright, welcoming environment for all who encounter the firm. Through her dedication, professionalism, and support, she has helped uphold and promote the civil justice system, making a lasting impact as a non-attorney advocate. The FJA’ s awards celebrate individuals whose careers and contributions exemplify integrity, leadership, and service to the profession and the public.
