PRESIDENT ’ S MESSAGE
Dear ASCE Members ,
November is here , and with it comes cooler weather , shorter days , and the start of the holiday season . It ’ s that time of year when we start to slow down ( or at least try to a little ) and spend more time with family and friends . I hope you ’ re able to find a moment to relax and recharge — I think we can all agree it ’ s been a busy year !
Amidst the chaos over the next couple of months , it ’ s no surprise that the holiday rush puts a lot of pressure on the infrastructure systems that we ’ ve collectively designed , built , and maintain . It ’ s not exactly Planes , Trains & Automobiles levels of chaos , but we can all take some pride in the part we play in keeping people moving — hopefully with fewer mishaps than Steve Martin and John Candy had
The holidays are also a great time to reflect on the impact that we all have – as individuals and as a community . Whether it ’ s through large projects or the small moments we connect with one another , we are always building something meaningful .
If you ’ ve been thinking about getting more involved with ASCE , now is a great time to jump in . Whether you are interested in joining a committee , helping at events , or sharing ideas for future activities , we would love to hear from you . Getting involved is a great way to connect with fellow members and grow professionally , while also making an impact within our engineering community . Feel free to reach out if you ’ d like to learn more about how you can get involved — we ’ re always happy to welcome new voices and ideas !
Thank you all for being part of ASCE and for all the work you do to make our section great . As always , feel free to reach out with any questions , concerns , or just to say hi .
Wishing you a great November and a Happy Thanksgiving ! Stay warm out there ,
Michael Eno President , ASCE-NH
