LADIES : The Lexington Ladies held their Fall Fling tournament on October 2 . On a nice fall day 16 ladies played . The winning team was composed of Linda Maini , Susan Evans , Vicki Black , and Suzanne Williams . Long Drive went to Vicki Black ; and the Closest to Pin to Jane Mortenson .
SENIORS : The Senior Association group had 2 interclub matches in October . Twelve members travelled to Lakeview and lost the cumulative 6 matches by a total of 1 hole . Well played gentleman . On the home match Lexington prevailed and Lexington won by 30 holes . Each match is two vs two with a point won for each hole played . The seniors are captained by Bob Hopkins .
MEN : Congratulations to Kurt Swenson and David Brogan . Both made it into the Match Play segment of the VSGA Senior Amateur held at Spotwood CC in Harrisonburg . Kurt lost in Round one to a golfer from Roanoke who birdied 4 of the first 5 holes . David made it to the semifinals losing to the eventual champion , Keith Decker , one down . Well done gentleman .
JUNIORS : The Rockbridge HS golf team advanced thru the Districts and played the regionals at Lake Monticello on Sept 27 . The team finished fourth , missing the State tournament by just 4 shots . Freshman Andrew McCoy and junior Sofia Vargas made the all-district team . Sofia advanced to the State Tournament , finishing 3rd out of 68 shooting a 79 . She finished her season at the States and finished 38h out of 60 , shooting an 84 on the Glen Rochie Golf Course in Abington , Va .

GLOW BALL ( Night Golf ) was played on Thursday , Oct 21 . Under a full moon and gorgeous fall temperatures , 24 participants enjoyed this unique golf experience . Shooting an unbelievable 6 under for 8 holes was the team of Jason Melvin , Matt Somerville , Sean Harrington , and Sofia Vargas . What makes this score remarkable is the fact that putting in the dark doesn ’ t allow you to see break , so
