Douglas Beaudreau , a South County hunter , has started many a cold and fruitless morning at 4 a . m . trying to call a male turkey into range .

Pezza had returned to his office on busy Pontiac Avenue after a holiday weekend to ready the office for the coming week ’ s appointments . The turkey had burst through a large plate double-pane window on the second floor . When Pezza saw broken glass on the carpet , he assumed that the office had been burglarized .
“ I walked into the waiting room and the turkey jumped right over me . He scared the heck out of me , of course . Luckily , I ducked . I ran out of the room and shut the door , and I see this turkey running around ,” Pezza recalls . “ I called my wife , but she thought I was playing a joke on her . She told me : ‘ You ’ d better take a picture , because no one will believe you .’ ”
The turkey was eventually removed but did not survive .
