The credit union movement began with small groups of concerned co-workers trying to help those around them achieve financial success . Mission Fed ’ s own beginning is no different . For over 59 years , their commitment to San Diego has not wavered - people before profits , the credit union way . The challenges they have faced this year , from a global pandemic to an economic crisis to social unrest , continue to remind us that we all grow and become stronger as our community grows and becomes stronger .

Mission Fed understands that community is a powerful thing . They put money back into the communities of San Diego and support multiple nonprofits aimed at building resiliency and health . In response to COVID-19 , they established a dollar-fordollar match up to $ 50,000 and raised more than $ 418,000 to support the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank .
They also recognized that the financial health of many in our community has been impacted and they continue to provide financial relief measures including Skip-A-Pay , Mortgage Assistance and Financial Assistance Loans . As the financial partner for life of their members , Mission Fed programs enhance lives through financial education and services .
