Fort McCoy welcomes new garrison deputy commander Lt. Col. Alexander L. Carter became the new Fort McCoy garrison deputy commander on August 31. Immediately prior to this assignment, Carter served as a senior strategist at the Office of the Chief of the Army Reserve Headquarters, Department of the Army, at Fort Belvoir, Va.
Public Affairs Office( PAO) welcomes new community relations specialist Theresa Fitzgerald with the Fort McCoy PAO is retiring in November. Fitzgerald has been the PAO public affairs specialist supporting community relations for more than 11 years at Fort McCoy. Holliday joined the PAO team in September and will be taking over the position as public affairs specialist of community relations. Holliday worked previously with the Directorate of Emergency Services and Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation at Fort McCoy.
McCoy’ s COVID-19 risk mitigations protocols set conditions to resume training The garrison commander signed the“ Risk Mitigation Guidelines and Requirements for Training Units to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19” policy into effect in June. This policy provides requirements for commands and units preparing to travel to Fort McCoy throughout 2020.
