BEGINNING DANCE

For dancers who are new to dance , or have previous dance experience . Class curriculum guides and end-of-thesession evaluations are given out by instructors .

PRIMA BALLET

This class is recommended for dancers who are excelling in Ballet Star Class or are planning to pursue ballet as a main dance elective . Dancers will perform various stretches to increase flexibility and an understanding of how their muscles work to help them dance . This class will touch on proper ballet etiquette , while also working on more complex ballet steps . Dancers will start to learn basic turns , jumps , leaps and center combinations .

BALLET / JAZZ

BALLET TECHNIQUE I

This ballet class will focus on basic ballet technique , proper body alignment , French terminology and musicality . Level 1 class explores the fundamentals of classical ballet . Students will be introduced to beginning barre and center work . Students must test out of Ballet I in order to graduate to Ballet II .

BALLET TECHNIQUE II

This ballet class will continue to focus on ballet all level 1 class fundamentals , while adding in combinations , floor work , and strengthening exercises for feet . Students will be introduced to intermediate barre and center work , while working towards advancing proper alignment and muscle engagement .
