His waterfront focus includes a background in civil, structural and ocean engineering, including wave mechanics, corrosion and marine structure deterioration, utilized in the assessment, design, permitting and construction of structures built along shorelines, waterways, ports and harbors. This includes piers, wharves, seawalls, bulkheads, quay walls, revetments, breakwaters, groins, dams, bridges, parks, marinas, dredging & dredge material beneficial reuse, beach nourishment, and even unique projects such as tidal turbines, offshore structures, lighthouses, historic structures, frequently involving creative solutions. He is licensed in civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering and is a certified commercial diver/engineer experienced with underwater construction. Julia Kallmerten is a Coastal Engineer and diver with a focus in coastal/waterfront engineering and experience site/civil engineering. Her experience includes structural assessments, design and analysis, wave mechanics, corrosion and marine structure deterioration, stormwater management, utilities design, construction observation, and permitting for numerous projects throughout New England. Julia is an engineer-diver, experienced in underwater assessment of structures and dams.
