Track #2: Structural Condition Assessment of Reinforced Pavement in NH (Rosa Affleck, PH.D. (Research Civil Engineer & Program Manager (Force Projection & Sustainment Branch, Cold Regions Research & Engineering Laboratory – U.S. Army Engineer Research & Development Center))) Dr. Affleck deals with interdisciplinary research involving sustainability and capacity of infrastructure or system (i.e., facilities, pavements, drainage, and vehicle mobility) that affect operations. This includes characterizing, modeling, understanding the underlying effects of the environment, assessing its social impact, and producing solutions for users. Her projects in geotechnical research address the dynamic changes affecting the system under seasonal conditions and in polar environments; these include terrain characterization; measurements of soil properties; vehicle performance analyses, disturbance and rutting of terrain from vehicle maneuvers; and soil erosion due to snowmelt runoff. Also, her recent research initiative integrates field observations of social data and geospatial information by applying mixed-methods and creating models to relate community resiliency and sustainability of infrastructure impact in war-torn communities for capacity building. Track #3: Moving The Dial … It Starts With Effective Leadership (Part 2) (Tammy Jordan (Founder/Chief Empowerment Officer – Leadership Consulting Group)) Tammy is the founder and CEO of Leader Consulting Group, she works with leaders on defining their unique culture, hiring and promoting the best talent, developing and training agile and authentic leaders and teams, and managing rapid growth and change.
