Through the vision and generosity of several long-time volunteers, board members and GSSNE Staff, we are thrilled to report that our council is a recipient of the Dianne Belk and Lawrence Calder Girl Scout Movement-wide Challenge Planned Gift!

Longtime supporters of Girl Scouts, Dianne Belk and Lawrence Calder, initiated a challenge to councils nationwide: “Increase planned gifts to your council and we will make our own $10,000 planned gift to your council.” GSSNE is pleased to report that we not only met the required number of new planned gifts, we exceeded it, helping to ensure our programs will be available to many future generations of girls!

A gift through your will can be a powerful tool. Planned Giving is one of the simplest and most important sources of individual support, ensuring programming that promotes the development of strong leadership and decision-making skills in girls across our council. When preparing or updating your will, please include the Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England. Gifts can be any amount, small or large, or even a percentage of your estate.

A planned gift can enable you to make a significant contribution that may otherwise not have been possible during your lifetime. And your gift can support a specific area or program, giving you the satisfaction that your support will inspire and empower girls everywhere.

In addition, you will be joining a distinguished list of Girl Scout supporters that are now members of the Girl Scouts Planned Giving Society— The Juliette Gordon Low Society.
