THE MAGAZINE ROOM
SEMA BABY!
SEMA is finally here and everyone has finally finished or half ass finished their project vehicles for this great show. We
will all see some new creations from some superior shops and divine individuals that have slaved for the last 6 month or
more for this one event. What will it be this year? Last year we saw every variation of Camaro and Mustang imaginable…
or did we? Car manufacturers display their newest and hottest models. Speaking of models, every hall has a few of them
but the wheel hall is full of them. Blondes, Brunettes, Asians, Hispanic, tattooed and anything else you can think of. The
wheel hall is definitely the place to be for beauty and bling. But it is performance parts, suspension parts, audio systems
or anything else that will make your ride custom and yours. Then the 5 other halls are the place to roam. Outside you
will find hundreds of bad ass rides from all over the world. Plus the DUB area where you will find some high end exotics
and luxury rides that only a few can afford or even desire. As much fun as this show is for us we at Gauge Magazine and
many others, it s a lot of work roaming the halls from wall to wall covering all this madness. Not to mention the meeting
with venders, advertisers and catching up with friends we met in previous years.
What makes SEMA a must-go, besides all the industry stuff, is the fact that it is in LAS VEGAS. Once you get out of
the show and get back to your hotel and let your feet rest, it s time to hit the many parties at various casinos held by
manufactures and media companies. There is always something going on whether you are at one of these gatherings
or laying some money on Blackjack or hanging at the Circle Bar at the Hard Rock with some fellow mini truckers. The site
seeing itself can be fun and relaxing as well. So if you missed this year s show you must plan to make next year s.
Until next month, enjoy the show, don t spend too much and always tip your servers.
