Christmas Giving Tree
The Christmas giving tree has always been a favorite on mine ! For me , there is little else that gives as much Christmas joy as that of giving to a child less fortunate than most . Some families struggle to put food on the table and clothes on their children ' s backs every day and Christmas adds an additional burden to those families .
I have been in touch with the Salvation Army and they will be giving us 50 angels to put on our giving trees . I requested to have children from Millsboro but will take other children from Sussex County if need be . Because of the uncertainty of the North Shore Community Center opening , we will have all 50 Angels in the tree at the Community Center East Lobby . The tree will be up in the beginning of November . When you come by to take an angel , please stop in at the office for instructions . We need to keep track of who takes which angel .
Gifts should not be wrapped but can be put in a gift bag . They need to be back no later than December 2 so get your angels picked early !
The Salvation Army has asked that we limit the spending of each item to $ 50.00 . They will be giving sizes for the children as well as gift wishes .
