Hello WSCA Family!
I’ m beyond honored and absolutely thrilled to introduce myself as your 2025 / 2026 WSCA Queen & Ms Congeniality! My name is Kristi Van Camp, and I’ m proud to represent the Western Saddle Clubs Association this year as a lifelong horse lover, dedicated rider, and passionate member of our incredible equestrian community.
From the moment I first swung my leg over a saddle, I knew horses would always be a part of who I am. Growing up in Aitkin, Minnesota, the Bit and Bridle Saddle Club quickly became like a second family to me. Whether it was early mornings at the arena, cheering on fellow riders, or late nights spent grooming and prepping for shows, every moment within that community helped shape me— not only as a rider but as a person.
Horses have truly been woven into every stage of my life. I was raised in the barn, grew up in the saddle, and was surrounded by people who valued hard work, passion, and good sportsmanship. Today, I’ m incredibly blessed to live on a horse farm where I now get to share that same lifestyle with my own family— my wonderful husband, our two beautiful daughters, and my amazing parents, who have supported me every step of the way. Our farm is not only home to our beloved horses, but also to a lively crew of Miniature Australian Shepherds, who keep us all laughing and on our toes!
Outside of horses, you’ ll find me teaching dance in the community as the Aitkin Just for Kix Dance Director, a role I cherish for the chance to encourage young dancers and give back in a meaningful way.
