AAMD announces New Visionary Investment Partnership Program to Kickstart Tributes 2028
As 2025 draws to a close, AAMD is already looking to the future of Tributes, setting their sights on what promises to be a landmark event in 2028. At an open house event in mid-November, the AAMD team charted the course for this ambitious endeavor, outlining key decisions, new partnership opportunities, and financial strategies essential for executing an event of this scale.
WHY 2028?
Tributes is traditionally held every 3 years, but AAMD leadership questioned the feasibility of holding the next Tributes in 2026( too soon) or 2027( conflicts with NAA ' s Apartmentalize in Denver), 2028 is the next opportunity to hold Tributes, as it requires not just advance planning, but also thoughtful budgeting and broad-based support.
While Tributes 2023 was an incredible evening attended by nearly 1,200 people, the hard costs for the event( production, marketing, venue, food, etc) cost nearly $ 800,000, and with costs rising industry wise, it ' s projected a 2028 event would exceed $ 1.1 million.
THE VIP PROGRAM
To address the scope and ambition of Tributes 2028, the committee introduced the Visionary Investment Partnership( VIP) initiative. This new program is designed to foster deeper, long-term partnerships with both supplier partners and owner members, offering three years of tangible benefits in exchange for early commitment. These benefits span 2026 – 2028 and are accessible through traditional tiered sponsorship packages: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper.
VIPs will be recognized across digital( the new Tributes website, social media, and digital retargeting) and print platforms( including features in“ Trends” magazine and advertising packages). Additional perks include recognition in a dedicated " Tributes Room " at AAMD ' s new office, exclusive VIP-only events, and significant discounts on events, education and other AAMD programs.
In 2023, 164 companies( Supplier sponsors and management companies) participated in Tributes by sponsoring, nominating or attending the event. AAMD is asking for 28 companies to sign up as a Visionary Investment Partner by February 28, 2026.
