Just filled up at Costco” is a sentence more Australians are getting used to hearing. Costco Australia’ s first fuel station opened in 2013, located at the Crossroads Warehouse in the suburb of Casula in Sydney’ s south west. Since then, financially savvy members have learned it’ s worth filling up on their regular warehouse run.“ Much like our focus inside our stores on quality products at great prices for our members, we do the same for our fuel,” says Anthony Navarra, Costco Fuels, Optical & Hearing Aids Buyer.
But it’ s not just the cents-per-litre value Costco members are raving about. There’ s also the fact the fuel comes from trusted supplier Ampol.“ Ampol supplies the country’ s largest branded petrol and convenience network,” explains Dan Abbink, Ampol’ s National Sales Manager.“ We leverage our market-leading infrastructure, network and world-class products to deliver a safe and reliable supply of fuel to Costco nationally.”

With Australian car owners spending an average of $ 62 a week – or $ 3200 a year – on fuel, it makes sense to shop around for the best petrol price possible.“ Our aim is to be the most competitively priced fuel, on each fuel grade, in the market areas that the Costco Fuel station operates,” Anthony says.
To achieve this, Costco has put much thought into design to ensure maximum price savings can be passed onto customers.“ Our fuel stations are built larger than most regular fuel stations, with more pumps and longer hoses so members can fill up either side of the car,” Anthony says.“ Self-service and our pay-at-the-pump technology means there is ease of use, with members in and out quickly with no need to line up and wait to pay. The pricing is also exclusive members.” >
