“ Our 12 Days of Deals promotion features big-ticket items on Costco. com. au like electronics and appliances with significant savings that only last for the day, so you have to get in quick to take advantage,” Philips adds.
Cyber Monday and Black Friday are ideal for electronics.“ In the past, the biggest sale period for electronics in Australia was Boxing Day, but over the past few years, we’ ve seen Black Friday grow significantly,” says Andy Bardwell, Costco Australia’ s Major Electronics Buyer.“ So this is when you will find some of the biggest electronics savings for the year at Costco, with a lot of choice across the brands we offer.”
So what items should you look out for?“ You’ ll find extra savings across most of our range, like TVs, audio, gaming, laptops and even large appliances. This year’ s big focus is large screen and OLED TVs – savings will not only be in your local warehouse, but online too,” Bardwell says.
The best approach
“ At Costco, our savings are exclusive to either the warehouses or online, so you’ re always getting a treasure hunt of value and surprises wherever you visit,” Philips says. To get the best value, she highlights the importance of knowing which promotions apply to which location.“ Members will notice that our emails are marked with either‘ Costco Online’ or‘ Costco In-Warehouse’ at the top.” Be sure to read emails carefully and act quickly so you don’ t miss out. Applicable savings will also be noted on warehouse pricing signs and product web pages.
As members will know, warehouses are particularly busy at the end of the year, so make sure to get in early for the best chance to pick up your chosen items. This also applies to online shopping: check what date the promotion starts and be signed in and ready to shop.
