In July / August , we decided to send out “ Golden Tickets ” to our customers ( I got the idea from watching Willy Wonka ). Each ticket was numbered - # 1 through # 6 , and I had to include my favorite , lucky # 7 - and randomly placed within the pages of the APBT Gazette magazine , the envelope of someone who had recently submitted registration papers , or someone who had purchased ADBA Merchandise . There were instructions that the recipient had to follow in order to be considered for the Grand Prize !
Once all tickets had been accounted for , each name was written down on a seprate piece of paper , folded numerous times , shaken - not stirred , and then one lucky winner was randomly drawn ( by my daughter , Alyx ) and that winner is .... Kenneth Carr !!
Although the prize has yet to be determined , and will be mailed to Kenneth just in time for the holidays , I have a few ideas in mind ( one being a VERY limited edition , Volume 2 , Issue 1 - 4 magazine , signed by the Greenwoods ... Shhhhhhhhhhhhh ) but we shall see !
I hope everyone had a fantastic year ; I can ’ t believe it ’ s coming to an end , show season is wrapping up , and the ADBA Convention is right around the corner .
It was great getting out to the Nationals this year , and I look forward to 2022 !
