Mid-Wales - What’s on this autumn
Support for the arts appears buoyant
in mid-Wales, even if regular arts
attenders are low in comparison with
urban centres.
The region is lacking in non-commercial
galleries, but benefits enormously from
venues such as Oriel Davies Gallery. Their
autumn schedule includes a major solo show
by Clare Woods, followed by an exhibition
of work by the American photographer
Francesca Woodman as part of Tate’s Artist
Rooms. Winter offers a retrospective of
Oriel Davies’s innovative education work
and a summer exhibition, ‘Flora’, presents
international artists examining depictions
of the flower. The evolving Test Bed
