Nearly 1,000 community members joined us for the 13 annual Heroes for the Home breakfast on Friday, June 13, 2025. This was an extra special year, as we celebrated the Home’ s history of service to the community as well as our bold vision for the future.
For the first time ever, the Home presented a Lifetime Achievement Award, which went to Amy Spears, a longtime advocate for our mission. Amy has served this organization for more than 40 years, on both our Board of Directors and various committees. She has also been an important ambassador during our last three comprehensive campaigns, inspiring crucial support as the Home has grown. We are grateful for her leadership and look to her for inspiration among our next generation of volunteers.
This signature event also highlighted our agency-wide vision for family-focused care. From in-home services, like Multisystemic Therapy, to the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center, families experience life-changing progress while honoring their unique stories.
