Program Spotlight: Little Ears Hearing Center On September 1, Open Arms Children’s Health, the comprehensive pediatric outpatient health center operated by Home of the Innocents, purchased Little Ears Hearing Center. Little Ears is the only facility in our region that specializes in childhood hearing loss and related services. Offering audiologic evaluations, amplification, hearing protection, early intervention and family support, they join Open Arms’ already all-encompassing services: medical, dental, audiology, psychology, psychiatry, occupational, speech and physical therapies. Susan Veech, Senior Vice President of Open Arms Children’s Health said, “We are so excited to have Little Ears Hearing Center join our pediatric health center. Our mission is to treat the whole child with the highest quality of care. We are proud to add the only board-certified pediatric audiologist in the state of Kentucky, Dr. Shelley Moats, to our team and we’re thrilled that we will be able to expand our current hearing services to all children in the community.” Connor Higgins, patient who recently had his Cochlear Implants turned on at Open Arms Children’s Health, and his parents Hope and Jacob Higgins Open Arms welcomes the staff and patients of Little Ears to their Market Street location. If your child or someone you know is interested in this or any of Open Arms’ other services, call 502.596.1040. Did you know? Open Arms Children’s Health now has its own Facebook page!
