UCAS 2026 TIMELINE FOR LATE ENTRIES

26th February

UCAS EXTRA OPENS
• If you ' ve used all five choices and are not holding any offers, you may be able to add another choice in your application.
• If you don’ t get the offer you want in Extra, don’ t worry – you can still use Clearing to add another choice.

1st July

LAST DATE TO APPLY FOR A COURSE IN EXTRA
• Today is the last date to add an
Extra choice in your UCAS Hub for 2025 entry.
• If you don’ t hold any offers after this, you will be able to add an additional choice using Clearing.

24th September

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS
• UCAS applications must be submitted by 18:00( UK time) today to meet the final deadline for 2026 entry courses.
• This is the‘ equal consideration’ deadline, which means course providers must consider all applications received by this time equally.
• Universities and colleges do not have to consider applications received after the deadline, although they can if they have spaces available once the ontime applications have been considered.
APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR ALL UCAS UNDERGRADUATE COURSES

14th January
• You can still apply with up to five choices until 18:00( UK time) today. After this,
your application will automatically be entered into Clearing.
APPLICATIONS AFTER THIS DATE WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED INTO CLEARING

30th June
• Clearing is how unis and colleges fill any places they still have on their courses.
• From 2 July – 19 October, you can
apply for a course using Clearing if you’ re not already holding an offer from a university or college, and the course still has places.
CLEARING OPENS

2nd July
• This is the final day to add a clearing choice on UCAS.
