Obese children and diabetics often suffer from fatty liver, a condition normally associated with alcoholics but is increasingly common among people who gain excessive amounts of weight.

The serious effects of too much sugar in the diet have been swept under the rug by the sugar industry since 1950. It has come to light that a bag of potato chips is healthier than a brownie. Although this study cannot officially prove anything due to a chance of scientific error, it defintiely sheds light on how easily the situation can be changed. The children still ate "unhealthy" foods that even a picky eater would enjoy. So if the issue of obesity and fatty liver disease is so easy to change, why don't people change it? Most people believe they will have to make a dramatic change in their lifestyles. The truth of the matter is that they just need to eat less and look at labels more.
