October is a month that sees Norwex, together
with you our Consultants, serving a great cause.
October is of course Breast Cancer Awareness
Month and we will be doing all we can together
with you to support this cause. Our theme for
October is “Cleaning for a Cause” and it is our
intention to donate $10,000 to the McGrath
Foundation in Australia and $5000 to The
Breast Cancer Foundation of New Zealand on
your behalf. The statistics around Breast Cancer
are staggering. Every day this year 50 women
in Australia and 10 women in New Zealand will
be diagnosed with breast cancer. 1 in 8 women
will be diagnosed with breast cancer before the
age of 85. And don’t for a minute believe that
breast cancer is relegated to women, this disease
affects men too. These are really sad statistics
BUT we can all make a difference together.
During the month of October for every qualifying
party that is submitted a donation of $10 will be
made to our nominated charities. In addition,
for every Coastal Body Pack sold a donation
of $3 will be made. There is also a great host
reward on offer that co-ordinates very well with
the pink theme of Breast Cancer Awareness
Month. Whilst we are quietly confident that we
will be able to reach the capped and committed
donation amounts mentioned above we really do
need your help to ensure that the programs we
have in place are well leveraged. Can I ask that
you please approach anyone and everyone to
host a party in October and for them to invite as
many guests as possible? There is no doubt that
so many would be moved by this cause and so
finding Hosts just became that much easier. The
Norwex Mission is absolutely aligned with health
and wellbeing and so I have no doubt that each
and every one of you will be moved to support
this fundraising initiative. Thank you in advance
