Zero to VPSL in 3 years and 8 months! Fastest growing group to become a
VP Sales Leader Team in Australia and New Zealand. Congratulations Brooke
Tudehope on reaching Vice President Sales Leader level.
Tell us a little about your background. Where were you
prior to Norwex?
I was born in Proserpine and grew up in the Whitsundays,
which I still love dearly and love returning to. I worked
in Local Government (Secretary to CEO & Mayor) until I
was 21. Moved to Longreach briefly, and then fell in love,
so moved back to the coast – to the Burdekin area, 1 hour
south of Townsville.
My husband has owned his own helicopter business for the
past 21 years and I’ve been with the company for the past
15 years, running the bookings, administration, finance,
compliance, logistics and more – you have to learn a lot
quickly owning a small business! I joined Norwex in June
2014 as a side-hustle, as our youngest of 3 children was now
at school.
Tell us about your family and what is important to you as a
family unit.
Husband (Don) + 3 kids – Demi (13), Delta (10) and
Donny (9)… a Jack-Russell named Gus and a few horses.
We live on 20 acres where we operate our helicopter
business. Yes, I needed (and wanted) an extra stream
of income – but somehow it had to fit in with our main
business. Mmm… how could I still answer the phone for
a powerline or fire fighting call-out while I’m at a regular
part-time job ??? Solution – create your own side-hustle!
My husband and I are continually working towards
financial stability and security for our family. From
experience – there’s not many things more stressful than
being short of cash or more specifically – cash-flow!
Why Norwex? What is it about Norwex that attracted you
in the first place?
It is the first direct selling company I’ve joined. Actually, I
have only ever hosted 1 x party plan party before in my life!
My sister se nt me some Norwex products (including the
Kitchen Cloth & Rescue Gel), I tried and loved them and
wanted more. Phone call to sister, a little search online, and
discovered that my local area had never heard of Norwex
before – no Consultants, no parties, no exposure. I was
looking for a part-time job to supplement, and my sister
was doing it, so hey – what the heck, I was in. Signed up

same day. Although I had no idea how it would go, and had
no experience, I recognised the huge business opportunity
it was to join a young and growing company – especially in
an area where no-one had heard of it yet. I was nuts not to
give it a go.
How has Norwex changed your life and the lives of your
family?
I noticed very quickly that Norwex was a safe place.
Actually, it was a huge shiny beacon of positivity for me
in a time where the rest of the world around me was quite
negative. The helicopter industry is actually far from
glamorous, as you might think, and is very cut-throat.
Norwex seemed to reach down and pick me up – the
positivity, recognition, success – it’s all very addictive
actually! It introduced me to so many new people – Hosts,
Customers and now Team members – many of whom
have now become close personal friends. Norwex got me
out of the house, dressed up and I have had heaps of fun
over the past almost 4 years while making a great income.
An unexpected benefit of the Norwex Experience has also
been the opportunity for kids to bond more with their Dad,
while Mum was at “work”…socialising… and drinking
wine… Hehe…
What do you most love about Norwex and running your
own business?
Yes, it’s very difficult at times – huge ups and huge downs
- but I love being self- employed. The money is good, but
the flexibility is GOLD. I love that I can do the housework
at the same time. I really don’t know how full-time working
mums do it.
Norwex means I can be at all the school and sporting events
for my kids – and I know they love me being able to be
there.
Yes, it is also difficult successfully running two businesses
at once (and a household). It comes down to discipline,
scheduling, prioritising and working smarter, not harder.
And my personal favourite… outsourcing where possible!!
These things I’m always reassessing and tweaking to
improve on.
A big shout out to those Norwex Consultants out there
