A WORD FROM OUR
REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Brian O'Callaghan
Regional Director, Asia Pacific
I have just returned to Sydney from our U.S.A.
headquarters in Dallas, Texas following a brief
visit. I was inspired and excited by my experience,
particularly because I had an opportunity to visit the
new Norwex Manufacturing and Research Institute.
For those who were at the recent Leadership
Conference in Melbourne, you would have heard
me speak about my visit to the Manufacturing and
Research Institute building in January. At that stage
the shell of the building was complete but that was
about it. It really was pretty much an empty shell. And
just 7 weeks or so later the fit out of the laboratories
and production lines are at an advanced stage of
completion and the facility will come online within
the next quarter. One thing is for sure, Norwex is
moving at high speed! I thought of all of you as I took
in the benefits that this facility will be providing you
and your Customers. In addition to the best of breed
Norwex Microfibre factory in China, Norwex will have
end to end control of the research, development and
manufacture of liquid and powder products in the
U.S.A. Norwex is already a leader across the product
categories available to you and your Customers but
“you ain’t seen nothing yet!” Norwex is certainly
investing on your behalf and is highly committed to its’
Mission of radically reducing chemicals in our homes.
I will ensure that I keep you updated on when exactly
this facility will be commissioned for production, it is
not very far off now! You are with the right company
at exactly the right time!
We had an awesome Leadership Conference in
Melbourne in February by all accounts and the survey
completed by delegates confirmed that significant
value was delivered. Guest speakers from outside of
Australia included Canadian Senior Vice President
Sales Leader Delores VanDenBoogaard, Co-founder
and Global Sales Officer Debbie Bolton, Global
Information Technology Officer Amelia Spolec and
Director of Social Marketing Sheri Gauthier. We also
gained valuable tips on the 5 priorities of a successful
leader with our Keynote Speaker and Direct Sales
Specialist Belinda Ellsworth and in addition we had
the very inspirational Tony Christiansen from New
Zealand close the conference. Not to forget all
of the Australian and New Zealand staff and field
speakers, too numerous to mention, who made an
excellent contribution. There was plenty of fun to be
had too and of course it was so nice to recognise
top achievers on stage at the Gala dinner. I really do
encourage each and every one of our Consultants
to step up to Team Coordinator and to join us at next
