Since arriving in New Zealand from Australia 16
years ago, I had not found a job let alone a career
that I truly loved. I was a hairdresser in Melbourne
then changed career path into accounts and air
freight forwarding before I came to NZ for a 2 week
holiday and met my future husband Steve. I went
back to working in accounts in Wellington which I
wasn’t enjoying anymore and went to work for the
National bank. I worked there for 5 years and then
went on maternity leave in 2009 when our first
child Tamsin was born, then just before I was due
to go back to the bank I found out I was pregnant
with our second child Taylor who was born in 2010.
I was relieved because I wasn’t looking forward
to work at the bank, I was enjoying being a Mum.
In 2012 we welcomed Roxie our third child! I then
had no intention of returning to the workforce I
wanted to be there for my children. In July last year
our baby was off to school but I wasn’t looking for
anything else to do at the time.
In August I had my 3rd cancer scare, when I found
a lump. It was removed and it really shook me up. I
have to be around for my 3 beautiful children and
they need their Mum.
In November I attended my first Norwex party. I had
heard of Norwex but knew absolutely nothing about
it. I soon realised we were living in a toxic bubble
but I could see just how amazing and effective it
would be to clean with Norwex and water alone,
along with all the other benefits!
I joined in March this year so I could buy the
products at the Consultant discount, then at my
launch party I was asked to do a party for someone.
It was so successful and I enjoyed it so much that I
started partying regularly and loved it, the flexibility
was fantastic too. The income I was bringing in was
going to make our holiday in September a lot more
enjoyable because we wouldn’t have to worry so
much about money.
In May I promoted to Team Coordinator and I couldn’t
quite believe it, I was now earning a passive income
along with my party income. I earnt my registration
for free to the Annual Conference and because of
my supportive husband I was able to go. I went not
really knowing too much about it, but walked away
so inspired, full of knowledge and super excited of
the journey ahead!
Sales Leader was in my sights from Conference and
at the time it seemed like an impossible task. How
was I going to achieve this? When I thought back to
Conference and all the inspirational people that were
there, I knew that I could do it too, I just had to stick
to it and focus. If you really want something, don’t let
anything stop you.
The last day of October I met with my Upline the
amazing Debra Rice for a coffee. I told her that I was
going to give up on trying to promote for October
as I still needed 2 Recruits. Debra nearly jumped
out of her chair when I said 2, she said ‘no you’re
so close, you can do it!’ Straight away we got to
work we looked at my Team and realised 1 person
was only $20 short of being engaged for the month
which meant I actually only needed 1 more personal
Recruit to promote! I was so excited I got on the
phone and got my Consultant to engage and then
found my final Recruit! She had been in the back of
my mind for a little while and she loves Norwex so
I helped her join and engaged her and with about 45
minutes to spare – I was a Sales Leader! Everything
about this promotion means a lot to me, I am so very
proud and blessed.
Without all of the incredible support I get from Debra
it would not have happened. It is such a lovely
feeling to be involved in a company like Norwex that
is so supportive and caring and celebrates all of your
successes no matter how big or small! I have finally
found what I’ve been looking for!
From where my life was in November 2017 when I
attended the party, to where it is now I can’t believe
how things have changed. I am not the same stay
at home Mum that I was, but best of all I AM still
a stay at home Mum! Norwex has changed my
life completely in 12 months! Thank you Norwex
and thank you Debra for introducing the amazing
opportunity to me.
