T
his month at Norwex we celebrate Plastic Free
July, where we aim to raise awareness of the
problems with single-use disposable plastic and we
offer solutions for people to do something about it.
We've already started the month off with a bang –
with a sale based around Plastic Bag Free Day. Our
Reusable Grocery Bags and Reusable Produce Bags
solve the problem of one of the biggest uses of single
use plastic – shopping bags. But there's so many
other ways that you can help reduce the amount of
plastic going into landfill and our oceans.
The Norwex Reusable Eco Coffee Cups offer another
great solution (and one that you can earn for free
this month, click here to find out how) – by reusing
a coffee cup when you're on the go, you're stopping
single use cups (which are lined with plastic and
not recyclable) ending up in landfill. With over 500
billion disposable cups being manufactured globally
every year, this is one area that we as a society can
really improve on. I've taken the commitment to
completely stop using these single use cups, and my
Norwex one comes out for a walk every morning
with me. And if you already have yourself a reusable
coffee cup, why not gift yours to someone that you
know could really do with a change?!
Of course, we have plenty of other great Norwex
products to help you reduce plastics, from our
reusable Stainless Steel Drinking Straws, to our
Silicone Lids. And other solutions can be just as easy
– a reusable water bottle, refusing pre-packaged fruit
and vegetables, and worst case scenario, recycling
where possible.
So why not take the Plastic Free July challenge, and
cut out single use plastics in your life. Or, you could
even offer a Plastic Free July Party to your previous
Hosts!
