Byron Nelson High School students took part in a character development
seminar at their campus in February, learning techniques to be positive leaders
in their community. Tidwell Middle School students have enjoyed the school’s new Connect Class,
where they can work on projects and take part in fun activities during their
break.
Northwest ISD high school students from across the district gave feedback to
administrators regarding their views of campus strength and weaknesses as part
of a Student Advisory Council meeting. In December, Roanoke Elementary School students donated a variety of items
for Christmas to students from a school in the Houston area affected by
flooding.
U.S. Navy Yeoman First Class Jose Trevino surprised his children for the holidays
at Schluter Elementary School. The serviceman’s children all said having their
dad back for Christmas was the gift they most wanted. Students across the district have continued earning professional certifications
at high rates, such as Eaton High School’s Lauren Bryant, seen here, who has
earned floral certifications.
Cox Elementary School students showcased
the work of their Sketch Pals program to staff
from Texas Health Alliance, the organization that
sponsored their grant. Through the program,
sick students can draw with friends and upload
art online.
