Northwest ISD’s TechnoCamp allowed students to take part in a technology-
focused summer camp, where they learned a variety of skills, including basic
coding. Students programmed small robots and other items at the camp,
which held different sessions for various age groups.
Hundreds of educators from across Northwest ISD took part in the
district’s annual Engage Conference over the summer, where they
shared best practices for teaching.

Staff from Northwest ISD, the United Way of Denton County, Galderma and EECU celebrate donations provided for the district’s annual Back-to-School Fair. Galderma
donated 1,600 backpacks filled with supplies for the event, while EECU accepted donations from patrons of its credit union.

Byron Nelson High School senior Haniyah Burney
earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT exam,
placing her among the top test-takers in the
nation. With her score, Haniyah is among the top
0.1 percent of students who take the ACT.
