PNAA begins its B2B Fair with One-on-One sessions in 2009
PNAA launches Women in Aerospace in 2014 , possibly the first event of its kind
PNAA experienced continued growth and a new conference name last year : PNAA Advance 2020
As PNAA closed out its 19th year , additional tremors hit the Cluster . The grounding of the B737 MAX halted production , and the COVID-19 Pandemic reduced all aircraft production , causing a significant reduction-in force in northwest aerospace manufacturing . During this unprecedented time of hardship , PNAA continues to serve as a steady , stable and consistent resource to the industry . Creating “ work arounds ” to replace inperson events , PNAA ’ s team has pivoted its programs to support the industry through the expansion of its monthly member webinars , which were increased to once per week during the pandemic and opened up for participation by anyone in the industry . This platform was used to relay information , training , and sharing of experiences to help aerospace manufacturers manage through this downturn . PNAA also created a weekly virtual event series called Factory Fridays , where companies provide virtual tours of their facilities , showcasing their capabilities and creating B2B opportunities . PNAA also leveraged their resources with key analysts in commercial and defense aerospace to create mid-year intelligence updates to help company leaders develop the best strategies going forward . This year , our annual conference has gone fully
virtual , incorporating custom software to provide a life-like experience that approximates the in-person experience as much as possible .
The future may be unclear for some in the industry , but PNAA ’ s course is clear : continue to learn what the industry needs to be competitive and sustainable ; then , deliver events and programs that connect , educate , provide business growth opportunities , and create solutions to help through the year ahead . In this way , we will continue with our mission of assisting aerospace manufacturers in the Pacific Northwest , helping them maintain global competitiveness . PNAA looks to further leverage technology , allowing members greater access to content and information on our newly revamped website , and to create content to help give our local businesses an edge .
Although the landscape of aerospace manufacturing continues to shift through the years , PNAA is committed to our vision to be the globally-recognized , premier aerospace trade association that continues to proudly serve our region through both calm and turbulent skies .
