Boeing invested more than $ 15 million in nonprofits working to address racial equity and social justice in the U . S . in 2020 . Our investments helped fund organizations such as Equal Justice Initiative , United Negro College Fund , Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle and the African American Male Achievement program at Seattle Public Schools .
Part of this commitment was funding for nonprofits and programs supporting indigenous communities in the Puget Sound area , including Mentor Washington ’ s Native American Career Connect STEM program ; Washington MESA , which delivers hands-on STEM exploration opportunities to Native American middle school students ; and the Puget Sound Educational Service District ’ s Red Road Project , a culturally infused STEM curriculum led by Native American educators .
This year , Boeing also invested $ 1.1 million to support organizations working to combat anti-Asian hate and promote justice and advance appreciation for Asian American and Pacific Islander history and culture , with $ 350,000 going toward nonprofits in the Pacific Northwest .
