Helping Hand with Wings to Deliver
In 2020 , the COVID-19 pandemic ravaged many lives , and racial unrest in the U . S . reverberated around the world . It truly was a year unlike any other . The pandemic ’ s health , emotional and economic toll was felt acutely in every corner of our world . The U . S . also grappled with a racial reckoning that spurred feelings of sadness , loneliness , loss , anger , frustration and fear .
But 2020 is also a story of resilience . Boeing employees wanted to find a way to make a positive difference in the face of these challenges . The pandemic forced us to rethink how we interacted with one another and our communities . And the important thing is we found a way to do it — safely . Our Boeing team shifted focus to virtual volunteering and the development of digital resources to meet the needs of thousands of community partners worldwide .
