TLG Aerospace has the technical experience to be known and trusted by the FAA . Muenzberg said although , that certifications , while a part of their services , are only one part of the big picture .
The company started with Muenzberg and Lind , adding Nelson later . Initially , the company name TLG stood for “ The Loads Group ,” as loads engineers with Aviation Partners Boeing ( APB ). At Boeing and original aircraft manufacturers , the loads ’ department includes the people who make sure everything works . They take the measurements , do the testing , and essentially validate the design and prototype .

TLG will work with your organization in the early stages of the design process . This engagement will minimize the program ’ s potential for expensive surprises later in the design and certification cycle .”
Thus , TLG is working with engineers within OEMs and other companies within commercial aerospace , space companies , and even with companies who are retrofitting former passenger jets into freighter vehicles .
Through working with the engineering departments within their customer groups , they are developing better efficiency for all aircraft programs . For customers coming to them , they rely on TLG ’ s expertise . Nelson said , “ We can interact with them in the development program , looking at the airplane beyond the prototype . We can vary the amount of assistance they need ; we can do a quick analysis that will give them information to stay on pace .”
