JEREMY

HUNTER —

LEADING WITH EXPERIENCE

As early as I can remember , I was drawn to rain and flying . I know the first may be considered a little odd , but I took every opportunity to splash in puddles and play in the mud . My second draw was very literal as a child . This left my parents on edge every time I grabbed my favorite blue blanket ( aka cape ). Thankfully , I survived my childhood and adolescence with minimal injury and ultimately found a career that complimented both of my interests : aerospace in the Northwest .

I was born in the small eastern Washington town of Goldendale and graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mechanical engineering .
After college I headed west to begin my aerospace career in Bellingham ( I asked for rain and was not disappointed ). My interest in flight had slightly changed once my parents informed me that I would need more than a cape to leave the ground . I chose not to pursue a career as a pilot , but follow my appreciation for aerodynamics into the aerospace industry .
During the early stages of my career I had the ingenious idea to pursue an MBA while concurrently working full time , helping to raise a toddler , and remodeling a home . Although I can thankfully say that I achieved these goals , I also do not recommend this particular combination to anyone .
Over time , I learned to accept moments of challenge as learning opportunities and to cherish the calmer times .
I have been fortunate to work in multiple roles within different branches of the aerospace industry , starting as a mechanical engineer designing commercial aircraft interiors . Over the years I transitioned to program management running programs within commercial , private ( VIP Boeing Business Jets ) and Department of Defense sectors . I was able to obtain both my MBA and Program Management Professional ( PMP ) certificate along the way .
