T
he airport has announced a terminal renovation and
expansion project that will modernize the airport’s two
terminals. The project is currently in its design phase and the
airport hopes to start construction in the near future. Addi-
tionally, Krauter is a strong advocate at the national level
for aviation policies that will help the community. This year
he testified twice before the U.S. House of Representatives
Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to advocate for
an increase in the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) user fee
to fund improvements and he is part of the team working to
bring the manufacturing of Boeing’s next generation new
middle of market [MoM] aircraft to Washington State.
