E
rik Lindbergh, grandson of Charles Lindber-
gh, envisions hiking in the wilderness and seeing
aircraft above, but hearing only the sounds of
nature. Lindbergh is a naturalist, entrepreneur,
and innovator — among many other things,
including a rich family pedigree — who
launched VerdeGo Aero™ in 2017.
The company has been in a research and devel-
opment phase, working with students at Emb-
ry-Riddle Aeronautical University while building
an engineering team. They have developed
Integrated Distributed Electric Propulsion Sys-
tems (IDEP) for eVertical Take-off and Landing
(eVTOL) aircraft. They are forming the flying
car of the future with short distance passenger air
vehicles (PAV) that will be clean and quiet, and
use “hybrid-electric technologies that are efficient
and scalable,” according to the website http://
www.verdegoaero.com.

Lindbergh and partners Dr. Pat Anderson, chief technology officer,
and Eric Bartsch, chief executive officer, started the development of
the product about two and a half years ago, after working on numer-
ous electric flight technologies for the last decade.
“We would like to make aviation cleaner, quieter,
and more sustainable,” Lindbergh said.
