oeing suppliers in the Pacific
Northwest got some good news in Au-
gust when Alaska Airlines announced
plans to add daily flights from Spokane
to the recently opened terminal at
Paine Field.
The new service, which starts Novem-
ber fourth, will bring more aerospace
industry flyers through the posh new
travel pavilion.
“The aerospace connection between
the two regions is a strong link,” said
Ray Lane, Alaska’s operational com-
munications manager. “Spokane has al-
ways been a top request by our guests,
and we see strength in that route.”
“Business flyers rave about it,” said
Matt Smith, who heads aerospace in-
dustry development for the Economic
Alliance of Snohomish County. “The
proximity and no wasted time in the
terminal.”
