rate, all the good ones already have
jobs,” he said. One obvious way to
attract talent is to offer higher wages,
but with customers demanding lower
payments, that cuts into an already-de-
pleted margin.
So for Nichols, the challenge is finding
people who can be trained on the job,
or as he puts it, “Finding gold nuggets
that need to be dusted off and cleaned
up a bit so they begin to shine.”
