With a global focus , the company diversified its target markets and invested in new equipment in order to move it closer towards eco sustainability to minimize its impact on the environment .
Tom Brosius of Orion Industries , was honored with the 2022 Executive of the Year Award for his outstanding leadership and the significant contributions he has made to the advancement of the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Industry . Mr . Brosius , now retired , served in top leadership roles at Orion , including vice-president and general manager . During his time with Orion , Mr . Brosius led the growth of the aerospace division from four million dollars per year and 45 employees to over 40 million dollars per year and 380 employees . Orion , a non-profit social enterprise , is focused on providing vocational training and services for individuals with barriers to employment , as well as providing precision metal products to the aerospace market . It provides a full suite of manufacturing services , including machined and fabricated aerospace components , assemblies , structures , wire harnesses and electrical panels specializing in vertical integration of products using complementary core processes .
The Museum of Flight was awarded PNAA ’ s Inspire Award , for its outstanding dedication to providing access to aerospace and aviation for youth and those in underserved communities . It is one of the largest air and space museums in the world , boasting a collection of over 175 aircraft and spacecraft , tens of thousands of artifacts , millions of rare photographs , dozens of exhibits and experiences , and a world-class library .
